How to tip for Round 14 - Part Two
July 3rd 2008 11:31
Adelaide v Geelong at AAMI Stadium
It is very hard to tip against the Cats right about now. On top of being a very good team in very good form, they recall Stokes and Scarlett who are starting 22 players. Adelaide are 2-3 from their past five games, which is not top four form, and they have just lost Andrew McLeod for up to a month. However, they are very stable defensively and have wildcards in Thompson and Porplyzia running forward from the midfield. The Cats are traditionally unsuccessful at AAMI Stadium, too. If you need to catch up a tip or several, try the Crows here.
Geelong by 5 points
Sydney v Collingwood at ANZ Stadium
Sydney are rolling along nicely, somewhat under the radar, having won their last six games while the media conveniently focuses on the top three. Collingwood needs a win to consolidate their place in the eight, but their stretched forwardline might have problems against the league's stingiest defence. Davis and Cloke are big additions for the Pies, and the Swans will be missing the suspended Goodes. But the Swans are better across the board and should keep the heat on the Cats, Bulldogs and Hawks with this home win.
Sydney by 31 points
