For Journalists: Complimentary Buddy Template
April 16th 2008 05:11
CALLING ALL JOURNALISTS:
Following three consecutive weeks of articles about how whoever Hawthorn is playing will focus on all the forwards, not just Lance Franklin, I present you this handy template to save you time next week.
=================
(Opposition coach) focuses beyond Buddy
(Hawks’ next opponent’s) coach (Coach’s name) has made it clear that his defence will be focussed on stopping all of Hawthorn’s forwards, not just Lance Franklin.
Although Franklin has already booted (number) goals this season, his supporting forwards Jarryd Roughead, Michael Osborne and Cyril Rioli have all proved to be a handful for opposition defenders.
“Hawthorn have a very well structured forwardline. They have many avenues to goal, and focussing too heavily on ‘Buddy’ will give the other goalkickers more freedom than we can afford,” (coach) said.
Last time the two teams met, Franklin kick (number) goals.
“We did the best we could last time,” (coach) said. “Hopefully whoever ends up with the task can minimise his influence this time around.”
(Defender) had the unfortunate task last time, but either any of he, (defender), or (defender) could get the job on (day of game).
Last week, (defender) had a (excellent/ordinary) game stopping Franklin as he finished with (number) goals.
“The fact is, the defence have to work together,” (coach) concluded. “The game will not be won or lost by that one matchup.”

Hope that helps.
